External Academic Practices
A clear bet is done to contemplate of obligatory form the External Academic Practices since they are considered to be essential in the formation of the pupil.
The External Academic Practices in companies appear as a formative activity or presence that will be carried out when the student has acquired the formation adapted to extract the maximum profit of his stay in the company
Objetives
- To bring the students over to the world of the profession in which they want to begin. The situations that will live inside the labor centers will be royal and will serve them to experiment or to know the dynamics of the organizations, the management styles and, definitively, the enterprise culture.
- To relate the academic learning’s to the professional practices. This way, the students can deal on more significant form the theoretical exhibitions of the classroom across the experience lived during the period of the practices.
- To inculcate the students the attitudes adapted to be able to be in the labor world, to know the different roles that develop in the company will influence them, undoubtedly, in the formation and in the responsibility.
- Bring the University in the managerial world. Abettor understanding of the needs of the socioeconomic environment must lead the University be able to fit the plans of study.
Rules
Royal Decree 17/07/2011, on November, 18 by regulating External Academic Practices of college students.
Practicum in the Degree. Document approved by the Governing Council on November 13, 2008 and amended on July 16, 2010.
The EURL and companies (or institutions) who wish to collaborate in this formative process sign agreement which reflects the will and mutual commitment to facilitate the implementation of these practices. Companies that have expressed interest in accepting trainees assigned a mentor who will guide the student in this process and ensure that internships are intended to complete the training and knowledge acquired at university.
By the EURL there will be an academic supervisor (coordinator supervised practice in enterprises) that will monitor practices and will participate in the evaluation process. Also draw up guide companies in which they will interact have signed the framework agreement. It is understandable that students acquire knowledge about different according to the company they have chosen, although comparable from the point of view of training received.
External Academic Practices have duration of 6 ECTS. These are scheduled to be completed in the fourth year.
The assessment will be based on a protocol established by the UdL specifying the title itself. Stressing the need to show my practice and taking into account the reports of the guardian of the company, the academic supervisor and undertake joint assessment that both tutors. The student will have to defend the report submitted before a court.
